Valbuena 2017; a savory thread of fragrant wild herb, cedar and leather winds through a creamy range of damson plum, dried fig, olive tapenade and smoke in this supple, layered red, which is rich and concentrated, but harmonious overall, integrating a frame of dense tannins and orange peel acidity. Ends with a lingering, spiced finish.

Alion 2018; the more accessible entry from Ribera del Duero icon Vega Sicilia, this wine has aromas of blackberry preserves, Turkish delight and clove. It fills the mouth with flavors of cherry pie, plum pudding, dark chocolate, violet talc and licorice wrapped in opulent tannins that recede into a citrus-zest and floral finish.

Mandolas 2019; Mandolás is one of the Oremus vineyards and it is only planted with Furmint, the noblest variety of the region. Macadamia nuts, lime and sliced green apple. Super fresh, tangy and vibrant with mouthwatering acidity carrying the nutty palate. Crisp and bright finish.
