Established in 1999 within one of Argentina`s most prestigious regions, Luján de Cuyo in northern Mendoza, Cheval des Andes is a collaborative project between Chateau Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de Los Andes. The 2020 vintage is a blend composed of 49% Malbec, 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Petit Verdot. The wine initially presents with subtle notes of tar and black olives, which gradually give way to a core of plum preserves, stewed black cherries, and mulberries. Hints of garrigue and mineral undertones add complexity. The palate is full-bodied, showcasing rich black fruit preserves framed by textured tannins and a refreshing acidity.
