After pressing the dried grapes from which Amarone is made, Valpolicella Ripasso wine is passed over the still warm skins from the Amarone fermentation. It then goes through a second alcoholic fermentation, which increases the alcohol content and creates a wine with a deeper aromas and flavours. An award winning powerful, rich, intense full-bodied red wine with cassis, plum, pepper and liquorice notes. Easy drinking and pairs well with meat dishes, risotto or charcuterie.
