Bodegas Caro is a co-venture between Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and Nicolas Catena's Argentinian winery. A blend of 83% Malbec and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon the wine displays a deep red colour with garnet highlights. The nose is complex, with notes of red fruit, strawberry, cassis and violet, followed by nuances of finely roasted coffee. On the palate it is dense and complex, with fine tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and persistent.
